 Women's Association:
Irene Taylor - Chairperson Cordelia Rosazza - Treasurer Membership is open to all women of the church. We have three circles. The Hannah Circle meets the second Monday at 7:30 p.m.. The Lois Circle meets at 9:30 a.m. on the second Tuesday. The Ruth Circle at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday. Here at Avondale we hold three functions each year to raise money for our missions. A soup and bake sale in February, and two rummage sales one in April and one in October. Among the missions we support are; the Local Food Program; African Inland Mission (A.I.M.); Mission to the World (morocco); Scripture Memory Mt. Mission (Kentucky); Raggedy Butterfly; Church World Service - Blanket Program; Habitat for Humanity; and two thru Christian Children's Fund. We also serve a Senior Citizens Luncheon each May. Every Wednesday morning men and women of the church meet at Perkins Restaurant for breakfast. Men at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.. Women at 9 a.m.. |
