Worship

Our small town church gives one the feeling of warmth and friendship as one enters the building. We are a prayerful church and pray faithfully for each other with guidance from our prayer ministry leader.

Children feel a part of the congregation through weekly children’s sermons and Junior Church.  Junior Church is held during the 10:00 AM service on the second through fifth Sundays of the month. The children sense this is their worship time and look forward to their part in setting up the atmosphere of the room.

Communion is held monthly on the first Sunday of the month. Children are encouraged to stay in church that Sunday and participate in the breaking of bread with their families. Pastor Ray gives a yearly class in preparation for younger members of our church (first graders and up) to learn the importance of this Sacrament in our church.

As a part of the Reformed family of the Christian church, the proclamation of the Word of God is central in our worship experience. We expect to receive guidance, inspiration, comfort and even correction when the Bible is read and preached.

We strive for the music that is presented during praise and worship to be uplifting to the spirit and to prepare the hearts of the people to receive the Word of the Lord. Ours is a blended style of worship with traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs.

Along with the worship leader, the choir leads the praise songs and shares an anthem on most Sundays. We also have two active handbell choirs that participate regularly.

Our prayerful, loving congregation welcomes you to join us on a Sunday morning for worship and Sunday School.
